Love Yunge from the Desert (2015) This show is definitely a melodrama, so please be prepared. For fans of Tong Hua, you will not be disappointed with this drama adaptation, simply because the storyline follows the exact storyline of the book, with the exception of some minor details. Admittedly, I found myself fast-forwarding while watching as some portions were very draggy but necessary, as they were part of the storyline. However, I was mildly disappointed by the acting of the protaganists - the acting executed by the supporting cast was much more professional and realistic. This could be due to the fact that it is Angelababy's first main role, but I do have to give her due credit for her acting. In all, you can't miss this if you are a fan of Tong Hua works, but I do miss the chemistry of the two lead actors (Eddie Peng and Liu Shi Shi) in this show's predecessor, Sound of the Desert.
